The Role of our Chaplaincy Team
As a Catholic school, our Chaplaincy team play an important role within the school.
They are responsible for running daily Mass and have an hour with a different form each day to celebrate Mass and offer catechesis to help students understand and engage in the Mass and their faith journeys.
At the beginning of the year they run ‘focus days’ for Year 7 forms as part of their induction as well as running a retreat at the end of this process.
They support the school with all of the charity projects that happen throughout the year.
They run assemblies on the different liturgical seasons and feasts.
The charity ‘Off the Fence’ come in and run weekly lunch time clubs and organise annual prayer spaces during exam season.
We also offer trips to Taize and Lourdes in the summer.
