This week I offer my warmest congratulations to those students in Year 10 who completed the sacrament of confirmation over half term. We would like to celebrate and recognise this important commitment to their faith journey by creating a display on our chaplaincy noticeboard, to encourage younger students to aspire to make the same decision next year. If you have any photos marking this special day and would be happy to share them, please send them to Miss Marsh at firstname.lastname@example.org
And in other news our Year 11 students are continuing to work hard on their GCSE examinations, after the half term respite, and we continue to be impressed with their attitude and effort. It’s great to see our Year 10 head students and prefects all now in place ready for next year. We celebrated their success with an assembly where they learnt more about their new roles and received their prefect badges.
And finally, as we celebrate the 75th anniversary of D-Day, our Year 7 French Exchange students are currently in Normandy. As well as visiting at such an important moment in history, they have been at a farm – making bread, milking goats and learning to make cheese. They also visited Parc Asterix theme park. Bonnes Vacances!
