Dr Kilmartin – Principal
Dr Kilmartin has overall responsibility for staff and students in our 11-18 school. He leads the Senior Leadership Team and is responsible for the formation and the implementation of our three year strategic plan and for ensuring that we fulfil our mission as a Catholic school.

Ms Jarman – Head of School
Ms Jarman is responsible for achievement and quality assurance for Years 7-11. The main focus of her work is teaching and learning and working on the overall experience of students in the 11-16 school. She is the leader of the School Leadership Team and she is also our Designated Safeguarding Officer.

Mr Miller – Head of College
Mr Miller is responsible for achievement and quality assurance for Years 12-13. Working closely with Mr Goldup, RSL for KS5, he is also responsible for developing a strategy and vision for the College and for the overall experience of Newman College students.

Raising Standards Leaders
Our Raising Standards Leaders aim to raise standards in all areas of school life but especially in teaching and learning as it relates to the year group they are responsible for. Our Raising Standards Leaders lead and line manage a team which includes Progress and Pastoral Leaders and at least one Pastoral and Attendance Manager. Form tutors also form part of that wider team. Within our large school we have consciously sought to create smaller learning and faith communities which provide a greater sense of belonging and the capacity to ensure that every child is known, loved and achieves their potential.
Mr Goldup – Raising Standards Leader (Year 12 + 13)
Key Responsibilities: Post-16 Teaching and Learning, Post-16 Data Assessment and Reporting, KS5 Attendance, Destinations, PiXL6, PTI, Examinations.
Mr Boden – Raising Standards Leader (Year 10 + 11)
Key Responsibilities: KS4 Outcomes, Transition Years 9-10, BTEC Quality Nominee KS4, Assessment Data and Reports KS4, Behaviour and Rewards (Years 7-11).
Ms Forbes – Raising Standards Leader (Year 8 + 9)
Key Responsibilities: Years 8 and 9 Progress, Transitions: Years 8-9, Data Assessment and Reporting (Years 8 and 9), Curriculum Development and Challenge KS3, Teaching and Learning KS3 Leaders, Homework.
Ms Rozier – Raising Standards Leader (Year 7)
Key Reponsibilities: Year 7 Progress, Literacy, Transition Years 6-7, Induction, Break time Experience, MFL, Attendance (Years 7-11).
Ms Burroughs – Business Manager
Mrs Burroughs leads and manages our key support services which includes: Finance + Business Development, IT Support and Premises. Mrs Burroughs also contributes to strategic direction and leadership.
Mr Galvin – Director of RE and Chaplaincy (Associate Member)
Mr Galvin is responsible for ensuring that we fulfil our mission as a Catholic School. He also leads and manages our Chaplaincy team.
