Hello Future 2023

Career Hub would like to invite you to be part of the fully inclusive experience for all Year 12/13 students from across Brighton and Hove education settings and further afield to hear from businesses directly in a face to face, interactive skills fair led by the Careers Hub in partnerships with Brighton and Hove CC, Brighton Metropolitan College, American Express, AITC, and Laing O’Rourke on Wednesday 8th March during National Careers Week and on International Women’s Day.

Participating businesses will be from the key growth sectors identified in the Sussex Local Skills Improvement Plan (LSIP) showcasing vocational and technical pathways. We seek women in construction, digital, engineering etc., to participate as exhibitors.

A digital Q&A session will be streamed into the colleges from a panel of experts discussing employability skills.

Careers Advisors will be available for students to speak to about career and HE pathways and degree apprenticeships.

Objectives & Outcomes of the Project

1. Raising young people’s motivations and aspirations by providing an opportunity for them to meet businesses from the local area and beyond.

2. Informing young people about key sector employment and apprenticeship opportunities available in their local area

3. Helping our colleges and schools to meet their KPI’s in Gatsby Benchmarks 2, 3, 5 and 8 by providing a meaningful employer encounter, LMI, Careers Advisor support.
